•  Northeast Grocery, Inc. (NGI), parent company to both Price Chopper/Market 32 and Tops Friendly Markets, said last week that CEO Frank Curci is retiring, and will be succeeded by John Persons, NGI’s COO.

•  Target announced that its CFO, Michael Fiddelke, will succeed John Mulligan as the retailer’s COO.

Fiddelke will continue to hold the CFO role until a successor is recruited.

"Amazon logistics executive John Felton will be the new CFO of the company’s cloud computing business, replacing Richard Puccio, the company said in a blog post on Thursday … Felton, who has worked at Amazon for more than 19 years, helped reorganize and lower the cost of Amazon’s delivery business."

According to the story, "The leadership change comes at a challenging moment for Amazon Web Services, whose growth rate has slowed substantially in the past year, though its profit margin has risen. Earlier this month, AWS reorganized its global sales team to fix inefficiencies in the way employees dealt with customers, The Information previously reported. And last year, AWS laid off an undisclosed number of employees."
