business news in context, analysis with attitude

Content Guy's Note:  Yes, I know I'm supposed to be on vacation.  But while I'm off, I figured I'd file a daily series of FaceTime videos about a variety of off-the-beaten-path subjects that offer relevant business lessons.  I don't want you to forget me, and I don't want you to think I've forgotten you.

There was a Wall Street Journal story the other day about how Italian producers are starting to embed edible computer chips in wheels of parmesan to establish and confirm their authenticity and prevent fakes from being foisted upon unwitting cheese vendors.  I think it is a smart idea that has consumer applications, and reminds me of a system that I saw in Japan almost two decades ago that taught me an important lesson about creating and maintaining trust.
