• Walmart has announced the planned 2025 opening of a new owned-and-operated case-ready beef facility in Olathe, Kansas.
The company said that the goal is "to build a more resilient supply chain and identify ways to increase access to high-quality Angus beef for our customers. The new facility will offer greater visibility into our supply chain, bolstering our capacity to fulfill demand for quality beef while creating more than 600 Walmart jobs in the Olathe community."
