Bloomberg reports that Amazon founder-CEO Jeff Bezos now is scheduled to testify on Monday before the House of Representatives committee looking into antitrust issues in the technology sector.

In addition to Bezos, top executives from Apple, Alphabet and Facebook are scheduled to appear.

Bloomberg notes that "in addition to the scrutiny from Congress, Amazon faces probes by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the European Commission and the state of California, which are all said to be examining the digital marketplace."

KC's View:

Congress being Congress, I'm counting on a calm, nuanced and sophisticated discussion of the digital marketplace and the antitrust implications of how these various companies do business and serve the American public.

That's what we can expect, right?
