As is my habit at this time of year, I'm taking some time off between now and Labor Day to recharge the batteries, do a little bicycling, spend some time with my daughter before she goes back to school, and just generally relax. So MNB will be on hiatus for the next week or so...but we'll be back on Tuesday, September 7, with all-new, handcrafted news in context and analysis with attitude...not to mention plenty of Eye-Openers designed to challenge conventional thinking.
