business news in context, analysis with attitude

A strong example of how to use an Internet site to build community with shoppers and interest in the food experience can be seen at Andronico’s website, where the retailer has been chronicling the exploits of its seafood buyer, who went to Alaska in search of – go figure – Alaskan King Crab.

His blog, filed constantly during the trip, was accompanied by a countdown clock showing when the crab would arrive in store. And the site currently has pictures and descriptions that get behind his exploits.
