• Lois Maxwell, the British actress who portrayed Miss Moneypenny in 14 James Bond films – playing opposite Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moore – died over the weekend of cancer at age 80. Her character, who was the secretary to spymaster “M” – also had an endless unrequited crush on Commander Bond, which led to some of the more memorable exchanges in the Bond films.
