The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) has announced plans to hold a rally at Albertsons corporate headquarters in Fullerton, California, later today, that will demand a fair contract for the company’s Southern California employees. The rally comes just a week before the June 21 deadline set for a contract settlement there between unionized grocery workers and Supervalu-owned Albertsons, Safeway-owned Vons and Kroger-owned Ralphs.
