The Arizona Republic reports that UK-based Tesco, which will begin opening Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets in the US later this year, has bumped up the number of stores it plans to open in the Phoenix area from 20 to 27, with plans to eventually have more than 50. The goal is to find a mix of locations, from urban street corners to suburban shopping centers.
"We want to be in every neighborhood," Simon Uwins, Tesco’s US-based chief marketing officer. "We're still looking for more sites."
