The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that a negotiating committee representing close to 10,000 unionized members of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) in Michigan have approved a tentative contract with the Kroger Co. that gives them “a top rate wage hike of $1 to $1.30 an hour and an $800 per person annual increase in dental benefits for all participants.” According to the story, “members will also receive $10 doctor visits, well-baby check-ups and immunizations and an increase in the employer contribution to the retiree health insurance plan.”
