The Wall Street Journal reports that in the UK during the quarter ending May 20, Tesco grew its market share to 31.3 percent (from 31.1 percent a year ago), Wal-Mart-owned Asda Group grew its from 16.4 percent to 16.7 percent, and Sainsbury grew its portion of the market to 16.3 percent from 16 percent a year ago. William Morrison Supermarkets saw a slight market share decline, to 11.2 percent from 11.3 percent a year ago.
