Upstate New York-based Price Chopper has had its internal corporate training program has been assessed by Excelsior College in Albany as being acceptable for college credit.
“Price Chopper is a progressive company that has offered excellent corporate training for some time,” said John Ebersole, president of Excelsior College, in a prepared statement. “Their dedication to employee development is laudable. The company’s participation in the creation of a formal program of study that accepts college-level training for credit puts an undergraduate degree within reach for many more Price Chopper employees.”
The Price Chopper program can result in 16 college credits in different topic areas that can be applied to a bachelor’s degree in business at Excelsior College. More than three thousand Price Chopper employees are eligible for the program.
