• King Kullen announced that Donald Conklin, a longtime member of the board of directors and a son-in-law of former chairman John Cullen, has been named the company‘s co-chairman of the board. Remaining as co-chairman is Bernard Kennedy, also a member of the owning family.

• Canadian retailer Loblaw announced that Peter McMahon, who joined the company earlier this year to run its supply chain operations, will leave the company at the end of the year to move back to the UK. McMahon previously ran Wal-Mart’s supply chain operations in Germany.

• Ahold announced this morning that it has named Johan Boeijenga, its current executive vice president for supply chain, to be president/CEO of Ahold Central Europe.
