USA Today reports that it “seems like just about every new product has at least a spoonful of yogurt in it these days — from cereal to toothpaste to pet food.”

There’s a reason – more than one out of five US consumers eat yogurt at least once every two weeks, and yogurt sales last year were more than $3 billion, up seven percent over the year before. So, US manufacturers are jumping on the bandwagon, looking to exploit this broad appeal.
