Published reports say that in the fiscal quarter ending December 4, UK retailer Tesco grew its market share to 30.6 percent, compared to 28.7 percent during the same period a year ago.
Sainsbury also grew its share, albeit slightly, to 15.9 percent from 15.6 percent a year ago.
Wal-Mart’s Asda Group, on the other hand, saw an equally slight decline in share, to 16.5 percent from 16.8 percent a year ago.
