The Cincinnati Enquirer reports on a university of Cincinnati study saying that “sugary snacks or drinks decrease production of the stress hormone glucocorticoid - a hormone that, in excessive amounts, is linked to abdominal fat and decreased immune response.”
In other words, during times of high-stress it may be healthy for someone to eat candy, which will lower a person’s stress hormones.
