  • BJ's Wholesale Club reported that its third quarter profit grew 20 percent to $27.8 million, from $23.2 million during the same period a year ago. Part of the profit came from BJ’s share of a VISA/MasterCard antitrust class action litigation settlement.

    Total revenue for the period rose 9.3 percent to $1.96 billion from $1.8 billion a year ago. Same-store sales were up 4.1 percent.
