- 7-Eleven Inc. on Monday announced that company president/CEO Jim Keyes has retired, two days after the convenience store chain was fully acquired by Seven-Eleven Japan Co. Ltd.
Toshifumi Suzuki, chairman and CEO of Seven-Eleven Japan Co. Ltd., has been named acting president and CEO of 7-Eleven Inc.
- Food Lion has promoted Bonnie Moore to be the company’s vice president of organizational development and recruiting. She succeeds Bob Stapleton, who is now a regional VP of retail operations.
- Safeway Inc. promoted David Lee to be president/general manager of non-perishables. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, beverages, alcohol, snacks and tobacco.
And Safeway named Rojon Hasker to be president/general manager of perishables and lifestyle.
