Published reports say that specialty grocer Trader Joe’s has been scouting Atlanta, the nation’s ninth largest grocery market, and in fact a spokesperson for the chain has confirmed the chain’s eventual entry into the marketplace.

Details about when and where have not yet been divulged, though experts suggest it is likely to take about six months to get the city’s first Trader Joe’s open.

Trader Joe's currently has 250 stores in 19 states, including California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington.

Lucky Atlanta. It is about to get a smart grocer that treats shoppers like intelligent beings.

Not always easy to find.
