There’s a rumor circulating down south that C&S Wholesale Grocers is looking to purchase Winn-Dixie and operate it as a sizeable no-frills chain using its own distribution center.
C&S already has about 100 former Bruno’s/Bi-Lo stores…so the foundation appears to be there.
