The Denver Business Journal reports that Kroger-owned King Soopers has been fined $7 million by the US Drug Enforcement Agency for violations of the Controlled Substances Act by its pharmacies that were described by the feral agency as “systemic weaknesses.”
In addition to paying the fine, Kroger has agreed to implement a pharmacy compliance program at its 1,900 pharmacies nationwide, not just at its King Soopers subsidiary.
