  • Wal-Mart has confirmed reports that it expects more than 25 percent of its US stores to be able to handle radio frequency identification (RFID) technology within the next 18 months, and that the number of its suppliers using RFID will increase from 100 to 300 by next January. It expects that number if RFID-capable suppliers to double to 600 by January 2007.
