  • Joe Devine, chief technical officer at Safeway.com, is leaving the company to become VP/Chief technology officer at Motosport Outlet, a leading provider of off-road motorcycle and ATV parts and accessories.


  • Dehaize-owned Food Lion has named Tammy DeBoer to be vice president of deli, bakery, and home meal solutions. She formerly was the company’s director of private label brand development and director of regional merchandising.


  • Sears Holdings Corp. named Julie Younglove-Webb to be senior vice president for its Sears Essentials and Sears Grand stores. She most recently was vice president of space planning for Kmart.

    Younglove-Webb replaces Cathy David, who, according to one report, resigned because of “cultural and integrity issues.”


  • Ahold has named John Rishton, the current CFO of British Airways, to be its new CFO. He succeeds Hannu Ryopponen, who left the company earlier this year.

    Rishton’s appointment takes effect in January 2006. Until then, chief accounting officer Joost Sliepenbeek will serve as interim CFO.
