Intriguing statistics from a company named In-Stat saying that Internet hotspots are likely to generate as much as $3.5 billion in revenue by 2009 – quite a jump from the less than $1 billion generated in 2005.
According to the report, there will be more than 40,000 hotspot venues – restaurants, cafes, hotels, etc… - worldwide by the end of 2005, and that number is expected to expand to nearly 100,000 by 2009.
