The Wall Street Journal reports this morning that as Asia’s middle class expands, there also is an increase in milk consumption – “Asians (except the Japanese) still consume less milk per capita than almost anyone else in the world -- just 1.3 gallons a year, compared to eight gallons in Latin America and 24 gallons in North America,” the WSJ notes.

But in order to drive this growth, dairy companies are adding bells and whistles to numerous products, adding vitamins, supplements and flavors that they believe will help attract the Asian palate.
