The Wall Street Journal reports this morning that the same group of retailers – including Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Ahold - that sued Visa USA last month over increased credit card fees, has now filed suit against MasterCard International for the same reason.

The antitrust suit charges that MasterCard and its thousands of member banks “illegally fixed the so-called interchange fees charged to merchants who accept their cards,” according to the WSJ.

According to the story, the suits were filed separately because the retailers aren’t alleging any collusion between Visa and MasterCard.
