- The Sacramento Business Journal says that published reports speculating that Raley’s is either interested in buying certain Kroger stores that are for sale or interesting in selling the entire company to Kroger are incorrect.
- Shareholders of the Gillette Co. have approved the company’s $57 billion acquisition by Procter & Gamble, following the lead of P&G’s shareholders. All that is required for the deal to close is regulatory approval from the federal government.
