- Supervalu Inc. announced the promotion of Mike Jackson, corporate executive vice president and president of Supervalu's distribution food companies, to be the company’s president/COO. Company chairman/CEO Jeffrey Noddle formerly held the COO title. The company has not had a president.
Supervalu also promoted Jim Stoffel, corporate vice president of financial planning, to the position of treasurer, a new position.
Noddle said the promotions are aimed at positioning the company for several new initiatives, including a third-party logistics business, new produce offerings and retail projects.
