  • Russ Smyth has resigned as McDonald’s head of European operations, after more than two decades spent with the company. Smyth was rumored to be a candidate for the company’s number two position under new CEO Jim Skinner, but the president/COO job went to Mike Roberts.

    Smyth will be replaced by Denis Hennequin, who led the company’s French operations for eight years.


  • Retalix Ltd. announced that Victor Hamilton has been named President and CEO of Retalix Inc., the company's U.S.-based subsidiary.

    Hamilton has over 30 years experience in the food industry, with over 20 years in leadership roles with IDS and its predecessor company, H&S Computer Systems.

    The company also announced that Todd Michaud has been named Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Retalix USA; that Lance Jacobs has been named Executive Vice President of Products and Strategy; and that Reuben Halevi has been appointed Executive Vice President of Product Development in Retalix USA.
