The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that Ukrop’s Super Markets has acquired a Richmond institution, Mrs. Marshall’s Prepared Foods, which makes a locally popular brand of products like cole slaw and potato salad.
Ukrop’s will become the exclusive area retailer of the products.
"It gives us another exclusive product, like we have with the White House Rolls," says company president Bobby Ukrop. "If you like Mrs. Marshall's, you have to come to our stores to get it. It is another advantage for us."
