business news in context, analysis with attitude

Fresh from making a deal with Howard Stern, Sirius Satellite Radio has come to an agreement with Martha Stewart that will have the lifestyle doyenne creating a 24-hour subscriber-supported radio channel that will feature cooking, gardening and entertaining programs, as well as paid advertising.

Martha Stewart Omnimedia also recently made a deal to create a version of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” that will feature Stewart. It’s all part of a massive rehabilitation effort aimed at restoring Stewart’s reputation in the wake of her prison sentence for lying about a stock sale.

It’s all part of the changing media landscape, which will dramatically affect how we all get our information and entertainment…and further evidence of how the consumer is changing as well.
