There was quite a bit of discussion and debate last year on MNB about the propriety of the brief skit that ran before a Monday Night Football game, which had “Desperate Housewives” star Nicolette Sheridan dissuading Terrell Owens from taking the field by dropping her towel in the locker room. The skit got plenty of notice and generated more than its share of outrage from people who felt that a football game has more than enough violence and there is no reason to add sex to the mix. (Okay, that’s not exactly what they said…it’s just our take on it.)
Now the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has ruled that the skit was not offensive, and has decided not to assess any fines. "We conclude that the material in question is not patently offensive, and thus, not indecent," the FCC decision said. "In particular, the 'Monday Night Football' segment, although sexually suggestive, is not graphic or explicit."

We only saw the segment after the fact, once all the stink had been raised, and therefore could not be objective about it.
So we bow to the reaction of Mrs. Content Guy, who did see it when it was broadcast – and thought it was pretty funny and not at all offensive. (This from a woman who thinks that Victoria’s Secret commercials are tasteless soft-core porn.)
