- Costco Wholesale Corporation announced that net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2005 increased 10 percent to $11.34 billion from $10.31 billion during the first quarter of fiscal 2004. Same-store sales were up seven percent.
Net income for the first quarter of fiscal 2005 increased 21 percent to $193.2 million from $160.2 million during the first quarter of fiscal 2004.
- 7-Eleven reported that November sales, excluding gasoline, increased 5.4 percent to $624.6 million, with same store sales up 4.1 percent. Gasoline sales rose 36.8 percent to $365.1 million, with the average retail price rising to $2.02 per gallon from $1.54 a gallon a year ago.
