Ad Age reports that Nestle plans to unveil a new line of Lean Cuisine products, called Spa Cuisine, that will be made with 100 percent whole-grain rice and pastas.
While Nestle says that this is part of a broader push into the health and nutrition area, it also seems to be a statement from the company that the low-carb craze may be coming to an end, and that “pasta” no longer is a four-letter word.

Actually, we’ve spoken to a number of people lately who seem to believe that the pasta business is about to see a serious rebound. Whole grain pastas – generally believed to be healthier than traditional pastas – will probably gain some market share…but we also think we’re going to see a general pasta revival.
