The BBC reports that UK retailer Tesco plans to move 420 “business support” jobs to India from the UK, saying the move will allow it to cut costs.

- We can see this becoming a broader retailing trend, and we have to say that we think it is a bad idea. There will be scads of economists who will disagree, and it probably is inevitable that this will happen in a global economy, but it is a trend that we find extremely worrisome.
