- Chalk up another advance in the move to make the entire USA wireless…
Caribou Coffee, the nation’s second-largest specialty coffee retailer, announced that it will make its 270 units “hot spots” for people with wireless Internet technology available on their computers, allowing them to check email and surf the web while consuming coffee. People will be able to pay for a month’s access, a day’s access, or just a two-hour session, depending on their needs.
The move follows that of companies like Starbucks that have turned wireless capability into a standard for such retailing environments.
