From the “coming around again” files, the Wall Street Journal reports that the crock-pot, a staple of 1970s kitchen counters and church potluck suppers, is staging a comeback – sales are up 30 percent over the past few years, and some stores say that the appliance is almost as hot a seller as coffeemakers.

The other blast from the past that seems to be taking place is in the fondue biz…suddenly, the notion of dipping stuff into sauces seems to be all the rage in certain places.
