Wal-Mart has announced in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) that it will spend as much as $12 billion in the current fiscal year, opening between 230 and 240 new supercenters (150 of which will be conversions or relocations), as many as 50 new discount stores, 35 Sam’s Clubs, and 25 Neighborhood Markets.
