business news in context, analysis with attitude

One of the pleasures of London is returning to our favorite Indian restaurant there - Delhi Brasserie, in Soho, which has never served us a disappointing meal.

Last night was no exception - a spicy concoction to warm our bones against the stiff, cool breeze that seemed to be sweeping through the city. (Or maybe we were shivering because of the news reports that police here raided 24 locations where they suspected terrorist activity, and found one facility that had a half a metric ton of ammonium nitrate fertilizer, an ingredient that can be used to make explosives. All the chatter seems to be about how the British population believes that a major terrorist attack is inevitable…)

Anyway, we stopped by Delhi Brasserie and feasted on an appetizer of Prawns and Purie, which is this amazingly spicy shrimp dish served on soft flatbread; Khasi Josh, a lamb dish served in a spicy tomato-based sauce; Saag Aloo. Spinach and potatoes cooked with fresh herbs; Fried Basmati Rice, cooked with vegetables and marsala wine; and garlic nan, which is one of the best breads in the world. Washed it all down with a pint of draught Kingfisher beer from India, and topped it off with a delicious cup of strong black coffee before venturing out for a nighttime walk through Hyde Park.

Man, do we have a tough job or what!

Work…work…work…
