Does it bother anyone else that the federal government seems to be spending a veritable fortune advertising the new $20 bill?
It's not like without a major advertising campaign people aren't going to use it. It's a twenty-dollar bill, for goodness' sakes.
So it's a little salmon-colored. As long as bankers and checkout personnel know that it's the real thing, they can pass along the info to those few people who don't read the paper/watch TV news/surf the Internet.
People have more access to information today than ever before. With its old-world television advertising campaign, the government shows that it has no clue how most people get their information.
The feds would have had more luck (and spent less money) just sending everyone an email…
