- Acosta Sales and Marketing Co. is acquiring Priority Food Brokers, a Maryland-based fresh-foods sales and marketing agency serving the Baltimore-Washington area. Terms were not disclosed, but Acosta said it would help it further its fresh foods goals.

- Attorneys for style doyenne Martha Stewart have asked a federal judge Monday to dismiss one count of securities fraud and one count of obstruction of justice against her in an indictment surrounding her sale of ImClone shares in 2001 just before the stock plunged. She is also charged with two counts of false statements and one of perjury in the case, which accuses her of illegal insider trading.
