Reuters reports that the CEOs of all the UK's major food chains will tell a government hearing today that no matter what changes the EU might make to regulations about genetically modified (GM) foods, they will not stock them - unless consumers demand them.
The statements are being made less than a month after the British Retail Consortium told government agriculture officials that its members would not stock GM produce even if farmers are allowed to grow it.
