The July/August 2003 issue of Organic Style has a number of pieces that could be picked up on by retailers looking to keep their customers informed:
- A new study from the University of California shows that organically grown strawberries and corn are richer in cancer-fighting antioxidants than traditionally grown crops. (pg. 36)
- While herbs are natural, they can cause serious side effects when mixed with certain kinds of medicines. For example, you should never mix gingko with aspirin. (There's a chart on pg. 36.)
- And, there are some great summer recipes using the freshest, tastiest produce - including what appears to be an incredibly simple recipe for a fresh tomato and herb sauce. (pg. 95)
