PlanetRetail.net reports this morning that A&P’s Farmer Jack division in Detroit is in “financial crisis,” as it has moved some accounting, advertising, merchandising and marketing functions to A&P’s New Jersey offices in order to avoid duplication and save money.
Furthermore, there is speculation that A&P could decide to sell off the 110-store Farmer Jack division to strengthen its financial position.
